History
Chrysanthemum is a flowering plant that is native to China and Japan and now grows all around the world. It has been widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries. Its sweet and fragrant flavour has been used for cooling the body, calming the emotions, benefitting the liver and easing a fever in traditional Chinese medicine. Handy hint: you can also add a teaspoon of honey for a sore throat or some goji berries for dry eyes! From a western medicine perspective, chrysanthemum has been used to reduce high blood pressure and swelling, calm hay fever and headache.
Brewing Instructions
Add 3 flowers to a mug of boiling water or up to 10 flowers in a pot, brew for 3-5 minutes and enjoy!
